Trailer Review: Shaandaar trailer is truly 'shaandaar'!

Shaandaar

What would you call a movie that has everything going right for it? Shaandar, of course! It has a swell star cast in Shahid Kapoor and Aila…err…Alia Bhatt, it also brings together real-life father-son Shahid and Pankaj Kapoor in a mock-rival setting, and of course, it has the current Bollywood toast Alia in a teeny-weeny sizzling pink bikini. Yes, Shaandaar has played all its cards right, including the trump.

If you take into consideration Shahid’s latest marriage and the hype surrounding his post-wedding movie and Vikas ‘Queen’ Bhal’s directorial abilities at the forefront of this film, you’ve all the right to jump excitedly at this trailer. It begins with the deliciously cute jodi of Shahid and Alia prancing off on a horse, only to tell the viewers that it’s all merely a dream. Sigh.

So, Shahid is a wedding planner who’s looking into Alia’s sister’s shaadi. He and Alia become friends and eventually lovers amidst the shaadi, richy rich dulha’s side and all the craziness that come with a big fat wedding. The background score is eclectic, and we can’t wait to hear the full song!

The casting is on point too, with every character looking like it’s going to be delivering big. The breath-taking locales add the right mood and texture to the scenes, especially the one where Alia struts her stuff in a sassy bikini. Is this the movie that turns her from cute to smoking hot?

Also, the dialogues are funny! And we are already bowled over by the Kapoors’ cool charisma and chemistry. The urban setting, combined with Vikas and Karan Johar (it’s produced by Dharma Productions), makes this flick look like one very long celebration that we don’t want to end.

Let’s hope that the movie and the songs are as amazing as the trailer is. Could this be Sasha’s Rs100-cr blockbuster? *Wink wink*
