The industry lost a young dynamic professional today. Kunal Kumar Bhandula – the founder & CEO of Kosmos Events India – passed away in the wee hours of the morning in his sleep. He was only 40.
Kunal was associated with Indiantelevision.com’s Indian Telly Awards – for more than seven years as art director and created some of the more fabulous sets that the event has come to be known for.
He had also done the sets for many other awards and non-fiction shows on television like: Dance Plus, I Can Do That, Masterchef India 4, The Indian Television Academy Awards, The Gold Awards. He was also the Art Director for the recently released film Wedding Pulav.
He is survived by his wife Leena Kumar Bhandula and a young son Kiyaan..
The cremation is to be held late this evening at Oshiwara Crematorium in Mumbai’s Andheri West suburb.
