Mainak Banerjee, who has earlier appeared in films like Amar Sangi and Borbaad, next will be seen in Sumit Das’s upcoming romantic comedy Jhooth Bole Kauwa Kaate.
The actor has bagged the lead role in the film.
Sharing details about his character, he said, “I am playing the role of Rohit, who has lost his parents and is working in a company. His life would be normal, until a girl enters into his life leading to various chaotic and funny moments.”
The film will see him romancing the beautiful actress Smita Chatterjee (elder sister of Srabanti Chatterjee), who made her Tollywood debut with ‘Shapath’.
Praising his co-star Smita, the actor quipped, “She has a sweet personality. It is nice to work with her.”
The film is slated to release in 2016.
