Pratyusha Death: Rahul Raj Singh appeals for pre-arrest bail

As the police awaits Rahul Raj Singh’s discharge to arrest him, a recent development might keep him safe for sometime, it seems. After TV beauty Pratyusha Banerjee killed herself on 1 April at her flat, her boyfriend Rahuk was accused of abetment of suicide. The actor-producer who is still hospitalized, is yet to file his anticipatory bail plea in the HC. Last week, a sessions court had rejected his plea for protection against arrest. Today, his application for pre-arrest bail, which his lawyers were fine-tuning till late Monday evening, may be filed if it is finally ready and will be mentioned in court for an urgent hearing and relief. The Bangur Nagar police meanwhile as reported have recorded more than 15 statements of Pratyusha’s friends and family to carry on with the case. As for Rahul, Dr Santosh Goel of Shree Sai Hospital in Kandivali where Rahul is presently admitted was quoted in the media, "The police can move him to a public hospital if they wish, but he needs to keep seeing a mental health professional.
