Maheck Chahal out of Colors' Kavach?

Maheck Chahal

Colors’ upcoming show with a supernatural plotline, titled Kavach, is set to hit screens soon. Promos are on which feature two prominent faces, Mona Singh and Maheck Chahal.

However, there is a sad twist to the supernatural storyline. Kavach cast has seen its first casualty.

Yes, as per information from sources, the antagonist of the series, Maheck has moved out of the project leaving the production unit in a quandary.

Reason? Let us tell you.

The Bollywood beauty, who would have made TV fiction debut with Kavach playing the role of Aatma, had to quit the show owing to a recent accident.

Shared a source, “Maheck met with an accident and injured her leg badly. She cannot move around and thus had no option but to step out of the project. Balaji Telefilms has already started its hunt for her replacement.”

A member from the set told us on grounds of anonymity. “Maheck is injured and did not come for the shoot for four-five days. When she returned a couple of days back she failed to complete her shoot owing to acute pain. She was trying hard to maintain composure but all in vain. The pain was such that she couldn’t even stand and it would take long for her to recover. We haven’t been informed yet that she is moving out. It would be better if they find a new face before the show starts airing or else they will have to tweak the plot to adjust with her prolonged absence.”

We tried reaching out to Maheck but she did not revert to our calls and message till the time of filing the story.

The channel's spokesperson too remained unavailable for a comment.

Maheck later connected with us and shared, "While I was doing my regular kick boxing practice I injured myself really badly. Along with a ligament tear, I have also chipped a part of my knee bone. It is really painful and I am in a bad shape. Balaji Telefilms has been really kind to me and ae being patient. I will be going to shoot on 4 June, and let's see how things work out."
