MUMBAI: Bigg Boss 19 is over but the controversies regarding the same is still afresh. The first controversy that happened right after the grand finale was Tanya Mittal and Neelam Giri unfollowing each other from social media.
On December 9, 2025, Tanya made her first appearance after Bigg Boss 19 journey and interacted with media. She visited Mumbai's Siddhivinayak temple. While she was posing for paparazzi, Tanya was asked about unfollowing Neelam Giri from social media.
Tanya responded to the question and stated that Neelam didn't unfollow her, she herself did. She mentioned that she wasn't happy with Giri's interviews post her eviction as she gave demeaning statement. Mittal added that being a friend Giri didn't believe her. She also stated that Giri told media that she also felt that I was making false claims in the house despite Tanya telling her several times that she wasn't lying.
Tanya said, "Neelam bahot pyaari hai, Neelam ne mujhe unfollow nahi kiya, woh maine kiya kal raat ko. Maine khud apne haathon se kiya hai, mai khud accept kar rahi hu. Sirf issiliye, kyunki jab maine bahar aake uske interviews dekhe or Neelam ne kaha hai ke mujhe b lagta hai woh kahi ki maharani nahi hai, woh farzi hai, toh mujhe bahot hurt hua, ke dost hoke agar tumhe meri kahani hi jhooti lagti hai, jabki maine har aansu mey usko bola, pura 105 din maine yeh bola ke maine ek bhi baat jhoot nai boli hai, toh mai expect kar rahi thi ke meri dost mere liye yeh bolegi ke meri dost jhoot nahi bol rahi hai. Toh agar usko bhi aisa lag raha hai, toh phir aaj mai agar usse bahar aakar dosti karugi toh woh dosti jhooti hojayegi."
(Neelam is very sweet. She didn’t unfollow me — I unfollowed her last night. I did it myself, with my own hands, and I’m openly accepting it. I did it only because when I came out and saw her interviews, Neelam said things like she feels I’m not some kind of queen and that I’m fake. That really hurt me. Because if, as a friend, she thinks my entire story is fake — even though I told her through every tear, for all 105 days, that I haven’t lied even once — then I expected my friend to at least say that I’m not lying.
So if she also feels that way, then if I go out and try to be friends with her now, that friendship would be fake.)
