Actor Kunal Thakkur who enjoyed the pleasure of playing Ronit Roy’s son in his very first TV outing in Bandini, is eyeing a comeback to the small screen now..
Kunal was out of the limelight for a while, as he was busy setting up his own business.
The actor who has been a national level tennis player, wanted to have an alternate career in place. In pretty quick time, he set up Tennis Academies in many areas in Mumbai.
And the man drew inspiration from none other than Ronit Roy, who runs a successful security business of his own.
Kunal told us, “Yes, television and films are very insecure places to be in, as you could be without work for years even if you are a big star. So I looked up at Ronit Da and his ways to develop an alternate career. I got inspired by his efforts. I have now set up Tennis Academies at many places including Bhavan’s College, Andheri West, Goregaon Sports Club in Malad and Jamnabhai School in Juhu.”
Now with the alternate business in place and doing well, Kunal wants to follow his passion of acting, and take up a challenging role, that will help him explore all possibilities as an actor.
Kunal is also awaiting the shoot of the sequel of Himesh Reshhamiya’s The Expose. He has also hosted Himesh’s live concerts all over the world and had an amazing experience meeting fans in places like Fiji, Auckland and Amsterdam.
Wish you all the very best for your second innings on TV, Kunal...
