Ashlesha Sawant to turn 'super villain' for Zee TV's Vishkanya

Zee TV’s Vishkanya – Ek Anokhi Prem Kahaani (Peninsula Pictures) will have a very important new entry!! Seasoned actor Ashlesha Sawant who was last seen in Badtameez Dil will return to TV space after a year in a never-seen before avatar. And she has been roped in to play a mighty supernatural character, and will be the next big super villain on the show. Yes, you heard it right!! Ashlesha will play the character of Mandira, a Vishkanya hunter who would have lived through ages. The lady would be able to take any person’s form, or even get formless. As per sources, “Mandira will come to Malay’s (Vin Rana) house, posing to be Nandita’s long distance relative (sister). However, the truth will be that Mandira would have killed the real maasi of Malay, and would have taken her form to enter the house.” When contacted, Ashlesha told us, “Well, it will be a supernatural character. But I will call you once I am given the confirmation.” Ashlesha as we know, has done meaty roles in popular shows Kasautii Zindagi Kay, Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Kahiin Toh Hoga, Kaisa Ye Pyaar Hai, Saat Phere, Pavitra Rishta, Dil Se Diya Vachan, Pyaar Ka Dard Hai Meetha Meetha Pyaara Pyaara. We tried calling Producer Nissar Parvez and Alind Srivastava, but could not get through to them. Our efforts to reach out to the channel spokesperson were in vain.
