#HappyTeachersDay: Bengali actors and the learning they cherish

Someone has rightly stated, “Education is the key to success in life, and teachers make a lasting impact in the lives of their students.”

Apart from parents, it’s the teacher who moulds a student’s character to be a good human being and nurtures talent so that he/she can shine in life. There is no iota of doubt that a teacher is one of the most influential people in a students’ life.

So to mark the occasion of Teachers' Day, Tellychakkar.com got in touch with a few Bengali actors to know what they learnt from their teachers.

Oh yes, they also wished everyone a very Happy Teachers' Day, guys. Read on.

Nayana Bandyopadhyay: There was this shy little girl, youngest in her class, who is now smart, confident, scholastic, ready to accept any challenge in life, always positive. I was that shy girl who was transformed completely by God’s chosen ones, my teachers. That’s what I believe teachers are: God’s chosen ones, who year after year mould children to be good human beings. They are the most self-less souls in the universe giving out the last drop of their knowledge to their students. We are what we are because of them and I love them and remember them with fond anecdotes of my school and college life. My message to my fans will be please love and respect your teachers; they are the most undervalued people of the society but are really the ones actually building the society.

Chandni Saha: From my teachers I learnt how to develop patience. Teachers are always surrounded by students and it’s not easy to handle so many at a time. You really need patience for that. I don’t think I will ever be able to become a teacher because I don’t have that much patience. When it comes to teachers, I have always been lucky as I always got good teachers. I am still in touch with my class teacher of standard i. She is my friend, philosopher and guide. I wish everyone Happy Teacher’s Day and I would like to request all the teachers not to punish the students physically.

Siddhartha Banerjee: Teachers teach us how to respect others. And the most important thing that I have learnt from my teachers is to judge and understand my ability before selecting the goal of my life. Understanding this helps us to lead a successful life. Happy Teacher's Day to all my respected teachers and my fans…

Diya Mukherjee: A teacher’s purpose is not to create students giving his own image but to mould and nurture students who can create their own image. Wishing all my teachers a very Happy Teacher’s Day…they are somehow responsible for whatever little success I have achieved so far…

Debattama Saha: Well, I have learnt a lot of things in my school days. I was taught to behave at first and the moral values and manners. The best thing that I learnt from my English teacher was the quote: “I will and I can.” This quote is the best example that I can site for looking into myself through a different door in this industry. I used to follow whatever she used to tell me because everything she said was based on reality. We all had our favourite teacher in schools, colleges or in life whom we consider our ideal and learn from them. So, I would like to request everyone to make their day by showering the warm wishes for all the hard work and the dedication they showed for us and helped us to excel in our lives…Happy Teacher’s Day…

Raja Ghosh: Teachers are the backbone of our society. Apart from the regular subjects, they teach us many other things. The three important things that I learnt from my teachers are discipline, manners and patience. I wish my teachers a very Happy Teacher's Day and to my fans I would like to say wish you all the best…stay well…Durga Pujo is knocking at the door so enjoy.

Happy Teacher's Day everyone!!
