MUMBAI : Debina Bonnerjee has disclosed that she has recurrent endometriosis. The actress, who is now a mother of two kids, revealed how the illness was first identified in her before Lianna was born and how it has since returned.
Debina said, “I don’t feel like doing anything. I am so not feeling well. Endometriosis is something jo aapka peechha kabhi nahi chhodta. There’s a small operation that needs to be done. Post that operation you might feel better for sometime, but it comes back. I don’t take any medicine. I prefer not to take any painkillers.”
She added, “Pain during your periods is not normal. I didn’t know this because I never experienced pain during my periods in childhood. When I would hear other people I would think that good that I don’t have any pain. I would feel extraordinary. A few years before Lianna was born, I started feeling pain during my periods. When my infertility treatments began, I found out I have Endometriosis and adenomyosis. It is an abnormal growth on the wall of the uterus and outside of the uterus. The doctor told me I have grade 4 Endometriosis and adenomyosis. That pain is back. I have been experiencing this since the past 2-3 months. The pain is so much, daant me daant daal ke bardasht kar rahi hu. It is terrible. I can’t stay at home and take rest as I will keep feeling that pain.”
