Let’s face it. We all love and dig to have a foreign accent. It tends to lend one an air of superiority over desi counterparts.
That’s a major perception, we are not being judgemental.
However, we were in for a ‘dialect’ shock when we met Aashka Goradia recently at the launch of Naagin season 2, a show she is a part of.
Gorgeous and gregarious, Aashka greeted us with a smile but we noticed that she had gone all ‘firang’ in her accent.
Aashka, who recently parted ways with Rohit Bakshi, found love again in American guy Brent Goble. The two have been all hunky dory in their relationship, and is it a possibility that Brent’s accent has rubbed off on her?

We must admit that Aashka did not sound entirely fake with her tone but she did seem to try hard to get into the overall firang avatar.
Commenting on our observation, she said: “Well, I have grown now and become more mature. I have become different and good that you all are noticing it. How long you can be the same? We all grow and that’s good. My second innings has begun.”
On that note, we tell Aashka...hasta la vista...baby (in American accent).
