Arguably one of the most-awaited sequels of the year is Kahaani 2- Durgqa Raani Singh. Featuring Vidya Balan as a fugitive, the first look from the movie has already given us reasons to watch the thriller.

So, whom did Vidya aka Durga Rani Kidnap and murder? Why is she wanted by the police? It would be rather interesting to know why the feisty Vidya Bagchi of Kahaani has turned into a murderous Durga Rani in the second instalment.

Even though the movie is not said to be an extension of the hit first part, we are sure that there’s going to be some link between Bagchi and Singh…no? Directed by Sujoy Ghosh, Kahaani 2 – Durga Rani Singh is set to release on 2 December.

It was earlier slated for November 25, but due to Shah Rukh Khan’s Dear Zindagi releasing on the same date, the thriller was pushed to December. It also stars Arjun Rampal.

The first edition, releases in 2012, was a surprise hit that launched Vidya into the big league and gave us a phenomenal find aka Nawazuddin Siddiqui.
