Shakuntalam Telefilms which makes Colors’ popular show Na Aana Iss Des Laado is now making one for NDTV Imagine, tentatively titled, <em>Devi</em>.
The show apparently is about a girl who is disowned by her parents only to be given the status of a goddess by the villagers. The show is expected to launch sometime in mid-January.

The show apparently is about a girl who is disowned by her parents only to be given the status of a goddess by the villagers. The show is expected to launch sometime in mid-January.
Informs a source from the show, “The story is set in Madhya Pradesh and our next schedule is in Bhuj for 10 days. The protagonist of the show is born to a poor father in a village which is drought stricken.The father disowns the girl and leaves her with a pujari. And just as she enters his life, it changes for the better. The villagers start looking up to her as Goddess Laxmi. The show in all probability will launch on January 18. Some of the actors on the show are Ajit Kelkar,Nimay Bali and Ajay Tiwari.”
