According to media reports the reunion of Anil Kapoor and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan onscreen will also mark the debut of the both as singers. Fanney Khan is touted to be remake of Dominique Deruddere’s 2000 Dutch release Everybody’s Famous.

The film is supposed to be a musical drama and will be directed by the first time director Atul Manjrekar. What has left the media and the public intrigued are the reports of Anil Kapoor lending his voice to a few songs in the film and Aishwarya singing a single for the film as well.

The film will be co produced by Mehra and Prerna Arora’s KriArj Entertainment. Media reportage quotes Prerna as saying, “The team starts building the set in Mumbai next month and Anil will kick off shooting in the first week of August. Aishwarya joins him by the month-end and the film will wrap up in a start-to-finish schedule by October."

It has been two years since the release of Karan Johar’s Ae Dil Hai Mushkil and the appearance of Aishwarya on the silverscreen. Anil and Aishwarya will be seen for the third time on the celluloid together, they were paired earlier in Subhash Ghai’s 1999 musical Taal and Satish Kaushik’s 2000 film Humara Dil Aapke Paas Hai.

Fanney Khan is said to be revolving around  a young aspiring singer whose career takes off when her unemployed father kidnaps’s the country’s most renowned singer. The original film Everybody;’s famous won a nomination in the Best Foreign Film Category at the 73^rd Academy awards.

Both Anil Kapoor and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan have gained a lot of international publicity, they are coming together for the first time post their international fame, we have to just wait and watch to know the final outcome.
