Rehaan Roy - Fighting Acrophobia! #HumseHoPaega

Zee TV’s Guddan…Tumse Na Ho Paega is a show that prods viewers to not be bogged down by others’ opinions of what you can or cannot do, and urges them to cast aside their insecurities, believe in their abilities to achieve more than what they had imagined. Show’s antagonist Rehaan Roy (playing the role of inspector Parv) proved that one can achieve and overcome their fears.

Rehaan has acrophobia and he recently overcame that fear while shooting one of the scenes for the show. In the upcoming episode, viewers will witness high voltage drama between inspector Parv and Siddhi (played by Garima) at the terrace of their house. The sequence required Rehaan to stand on the edge of a terrace and having the fear of heights it was extremely difficult for him to perform the scene. When his director offered him to use a harness, Rehaan declined the offer as he wanted to overcome that fear of heights and give a good shot.

Talking about acrophobia, Rehaan said, “Just like any other human being, even I have a fear. I am very scared of heights but at times one must face their fear and try to overcome it. I did the same while shooting for this scene. Initially, I was apprehensive about it, but later I told myself Tumse Ho Paega Rehaan and I just went for the kill. Kabhi kabhi risk lena chahiye, end result achcha hota hai.”

Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain has been a phenomenal hit: Shashank Bali

Don’t we all love Binaifer and Sanjay Kohli’s Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain? Well, here is the man who is behind all those hilarious dialogues and flawless screenplay, director Shashank Bali. However, a humble man, Shashank says that the success of the show has a lot to do with how it is performed. “Babhiji Ghar Par Hain has been a phenomenal hit and we never expected it to become such a huge hit when we started. The idea was to have a good time by ourselves and make something bolder, mature and interesting to us. So, it's more of our taste. I never imagined especially the women and children coming in, so hats off to the audience that they accepted and cherished a new flavour and relished what we gave them,” he says.

He adds, “The actors say their lines beautifully, they take the pain of memorising their lines and delivering the punch correctly and also improvising. Aasif Sheikh and Rohitash Gour are such strong actors and it's an absolute pleasure to work with them as a director, a fantastic acting team. A director is more like an acting coach, who is not playing on the field; these actors are the one hitting win for them, kudos to them. I can merely hint and scheme and trigger them from outside but they are the ones who get into the field, hit the ball and score the goal.”

The director admits that catering to content for a daily can be tricky. “It is quite challenging and a pain in the neck to keep creating content week after week. Also, the final promise is comedy, so sometimes the content is very funny and sometimes it's not as funny. We do get a lot of flak from the audience as well. We don't expect them to say that it's daily and so it’s fine if it’s not funny every day. Sometimes we make lovely episodes and sometimes we don't, but overall we maintain a level of comedy in Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hain. We can attribute this to the whole team. With Manoj, Raghuveer, Sanjayji, Harshada and Mrs Benifer Kohli, we make sure that whatever we envision gets executed practically. I am not practical but she makes sure it gets implemented beautifully,” he says.

My wife Rekha keeps me updated with technology: Popular actor Rohitashv Gour – famous as Tiwariji from Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai produced by Benaifer Kohli and Sanjay Kohli— is a lucky man too. Rohitashv's wife Rekha Gour who is a cancer researcher is someone who always helps her husband when it comes to technology. When asked about the same, Rohitashv said, "My wife Rekha keeps me updated with technology, I am not so tech savy but she is the one who is great in that area. And from time to time she keeps me updated with my fans. In today's world it is extremely important for an actor to be active on social media. Rekha used to work in a reputed institute of cancer research but she took voluntary retirement and now she is involved in this project worldwide. Rekha is from Mumbai and does a lot of social work. One of her involvement is with Bimari Bhagao India. I am extremely proud of her and thankful that she is the one who takes care of my two beautiful daughters. Being an actor I have always less of time and Rekha fills that gap. Rekha also has an extremely warm relationship with my reel life wife Shuvangi Atre." He further added, "My wife is coming up with Build India Relaython on 24 November which is a unique initiative"

It still feels like a dream: Shweta Rohira on success of That’s My Girl

Actor Shweta Rohira’s play That’s My Girl surpassed expectations and was hugely successful in India and abroad. The actor says that it all still seems surreal to her. “It still feels like a dream and motivates me to enjoy and do more and more. I feel I am blessed to be part of That’s My Girl; every time and whenever people come up to me and compliment me that they remembered their daughter while looking at me, I feel blessed that I could play a role that evoked the emotion of beautiful relationship of father-daughter. That is a special emotion anywhere in the world,” she says.

The play has been screened in multiple places. “We have taken the play to Ahmedabad, Pune and Goa and internationally Kuwait. As a travel blogger, I have travelled to many countries and a few more trips are lined up before the year ends,” she says.

Ask her what was the best compliment she got for the play, and she says, “The best compliment was from Waheeda Rehman ji. She said, ‘You are a little pattaka, what a performance!’.”

The actor enjoyed working with veterans like Bharat Dabolkar and Anand Mahadevan. “Like I always say, it’s my Gurukul, and though it’s been a year now, in every session of the play or rehearsal I still get to learn. My gurus are full on cool and happening so it’s fun to learn,” she says.http://www.tellychakkar.com/tv/tv-news/nakuul-mehta-play-shivaay-s-son-post-leap-ishqbaaaz-181116
