Legendary Indian cricketer, Kapil Dev who appeared on StarPlus’ dance reality show, Dance+4, as a part of the theme ‘Colors Of India’, received an unexpected surprise on the show. The entire team recreated his journey from childhood to winning the 1983 Cricket World Cup that left the icon emotional. We have all loved and watched the legend impress us with his sportsman skills. Hence the Dance+ team decided pay the man a tribute for his achievements through dance. Kapil was extremely touched by this gesture as once again relived those fond memories. He went on stage and reminiscing about the glorious moment, which is etched in every Indian’s heart till today, he recreated the historic moment with the contestants. He mentioned “The way contestants have depicted that memory of the 1983 World Cup moment took me back to when I held the trophy in my hand after winning the crucial match.  It made me so emotional and made me relive those moments again! Thanks a lot for showing so much love”  

He further added “It is our passion which helps us in fulfilling our dreams. When I was a kid, all I knew that I wanted to play games, the love for cricket followed. After watching the contestants, I remembered my younger days and I would just like to say that keep your passion alive and compete with yourself, which will eventually help you in achieving success”
