Spotted in the audience on ‘India's Best Dancer - Season 4’, Orissa's Dibyjyoti Naik wows the ‘ENT’ Specialists with his popping style infused with Bollywood choreography

India's Best Dancer

MUMBAI : Sony Entertainment Television’s much-loved dance reality show, India’s Best Dancer, is back for Season 4, urging everyone to ‘Jab Dil Kare Dance Kar’, starting 13th July at 8:00 PM. With Karisma Kapoor, Terence Lewis, and Geeta Kapur joining the judges’ panel as the ‘ENT’ (Entertainment, Newness and Technique) specialists, the audition round will present some exceptional dance talent from nationwide.

During an engaging banter with the studio audience, hosts Jay Bhanushali and Aniket Chauhan decide to shake things up, much to the surprise of the judges and everyone on set. They proceed to identify three members from the audience and invite them to dance in front of the judges. But it was Dibyajyoti Naik, from Cuttack, Odisha, who stood out as he delivered a dance routine of ‘Popping with Bollywood’ to the song ‘Aaye Aajaye Aa Hi Jaiye’ from the movie ‘Lajja’, leaving the judges bewildered!

A surprised Geeta Kapur said, “I honestly don’t know how to whistle, so I urge those who know how to whistle to please do so for Dibyajyoti! Your journey is indescribable; you just came in as an audience member and now, you are performing for us on the stage of the show!”

She further adds, “Few people know that you are a well-known choreographer in the Odia film industry, and I wonder why you never mentioned it. You are so unique. We don't know anything about you but you are so well-versed when it comes to the technicalities of dance. There is creativity in your choreography which is unique, and your interpretation of the song is also very different. It’s fun, entertaining, and new!"

While interacting with the judges, Dibyajyoti expresses his gratitude to host Jay Bhanushali for spotting him and he also spoke about his life at home where he is the eldest son, his father is in the police force, and his mother is a housewife. He says, “My father wants me to join the police force, but my passion is to dance, and I was adamant that I want to take up dancing. So here I am, all thanks to the platform of ‘India’s Best Dancer – Season 4.”

Will Dibyajyoti be able to make his place in the mega auditions?

Tune in to India’s Best Dancer – Season 4 starting 13th July, every Saturday & Sunday at 8:00 PM exclusively on Entertainment Television.
