MUMBAI: The entire industry was taken by surprise with the news of television's Gopi Bahu, Devoleena Bhattacharjee being detained in connection with the death of Mumbai-based diamond merchant Rajeshwar Udani.
Rajeshwar had gone missing on November 29th, and his body was recovered on Friday.
According to media reports, Devoleena was interrogated for a brief period of time. After a lot of speculations made by the media about her being arrested and detained, her lawyer Falguni Brahmbhatt released a statement refuting the rumours of Devoleena being detained or arrested.
TellyChakkar got in touch with Devoleena to know her side of story. She said, 'I don’t really wish to talk about it much. I am at my home and investigation is being done. Hopefully, we’ll get a clear picture soon. Media reports have already interrupted the investigation. I request you to wait until I call for a proper press conference wherein all your questions will be answered.'
