MUMBAI: Our relationship with TV villains is weird. We hate them almost as much as we love them. To be honest, we perhaps just love to hate them. While there are a few actors who have chosen negative characters to be their forte, there are some who have dabbled in different roles, but we feel they have given their best in negative roles.
This week’s Showt Star of the Week contest included some of the leading actors in Negative roles in the Television Industry. The nominees were Anita Hassanandani, Anjali Anand, Hina Khan, Rehaan Roy, Monalisa Biwas and Monica Khannna.
Anita Hassandani was already a popular face, but her portrayal of Shagun in “Yeh Hai Mohabbatein” has made her one of the most iconic villains of the Indian Television Industry, appreciated by fans worldwide. They have chosen her as the TellyChakkar Showters’ Choice Star of the Week with 83% Yes Showts.
Anjali Anand, who is known for the show “Dhai Kilo Prem”and is currently portraying the role of Lovely in “Kulfi Kumar Bajewala” received 55%
Yes Showts to place second.
Whereas Hina Khan who first rose to fame with the show“Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai” by playing the character of Akshara and was also a “Bigg Boss 11” finalist who enjoys great popularity among the masses. Also currently seen in the show “Kasauti Zindagi Kay 2” by essaying the negative role of Komollika and received 54% Yes Showts. Not only this, but Monalisa Biwas, who is currently seen in “Nazar” is giving tough competition to Hina Khan for portraying the negative role. She also received 54% Yes Showts.
Monica Khanna who has made a name for negative role of Zeenath in the show “Ishq Subhaan Allah” received 50% Yes Showts.
Lastly, Rehaan Roy who is playing the role of Parv Singh in “Guddan Tumse Na Ho Payega” and Dushasana in “Karn Sangini” received only 48% Yes Showts.
With this, it is clear that Anita Hassandani is winner this week. We congratulate her on becoming this week’s TellyChakkar Showters’ Choice Star of the Week.
