Tellychakkar.com has already reported that Pearl Grey will be solely producing a show for Star Plus, titled Pyaar Ki Naukri. Incidentally, her show Pratigya airs on the same channel. “I always feel comfortable while working with them. I get a chance to explore my creativity and the co-operation level is always high,” Pearl says of her association with Star Plus. Her show, Mann Ki Awaaz Pratigya is currently doing well, but even she can’t ignore the fact that Balaji Telefilms’ Bade Achhe Lagte Hain (aired on the same time slot on Sony Entertainment) is giving it a tough competition. “I believe it’s always easy to attract the audience till the time the lead pair doesn’t consummate their relation. But once that happens, it becomes difficult to maintain the viewership,” she feels. And apart from PKN, Pearl will soon come up with a reality show. “It will be based on human relationship wherein people will come together for a cause,” she reveals. The producer, who has penned down daily soaps, believes that the shows that are on-aired today are very realistic. Pearl says, “There has been a huge change in drama. Initially, people liked the saas-bahu saga but now the viewers prefer something real and at the end of the day it should be entertaining even if it is not dramatic.” But what made her go solo after successfully co-producing shows with Walkwater Productions? She rubbishes the rumors that this move was inspired by Rajan Shahi’s Director’s Kut success. “Rajan wanted to set up his production company and I helped him to do that. Now, I thought it was the right time to launch my own production house. When it comes to Walkwater, they were not ready to produce a new show. But since I had faith in Pyaar Ki Naukri , I went ahead to produce it,” smiles Pearl. Furthermore, the gracious lady goes on to say that she never plans things in life and likes to go with the flow. “I believe in the God’s way to push me. It has happened with me always. The journey with Walkwater has been a wonderful one. In fact, they encouraged me to go ahead with my decision to produce a show under Spellbound Productions. I am thankful to all and hope I can live up to everyone’s expectations,” ends Pearl. Tellychakkar.com wishes Pearl a great career ahead!!!
