Ankit Raizada, who is essaying the character of Karthik, has opened up about his role and shared more insights about the show.
When asked about his excitement in returning to television with Shehzaadi Hai Tu Dil Ki?, Ankit shares, "I’m genuinely thrilled to be back on television after a few months. Coming back with Shehzaadi Hai Tu Dil Ki feels special because the story has so much heart, depth, and emotional richness. The audience has always given me immense love, and I’m really looking forward to reconnecting with them through this new character and this beautiful narrative."
Further describing about his character Karthik being calm and composed personality in the promo, he said, "Karthik is someone who carries a storm within but shows only calm on the surface. He’s responsible, mature, and deeply sensitive—yet he often struggles to express his emotions. That emotional restraint defines him. He’s the kind of person who feels a lot more than he says, and that makes him both intriguing and relatable."
As the promo hints at a complex history between Karthik and Deepa. Ankit explained What viewers can expect from their dynamic?, and said, "Their relationship is layered with unspoken emotions, misunderstandings, and a bond that refuses to fade. Viewers will see a mix of love, pain, longing, and destiny bringing them together in unexpected ways. Their journey is intense and emotionally gripping—but we’ve also added fresh elements to make it resonate with today’s audience."
Ankit further explained about his approach towards performing that emotionally heavy moment, When Deepa rejects Karthik’s offer to help. He said, "For that scene, I focused on Karthik’s inner conflict—his desire to protect her versus the guilt and helplessness he feels from their past. I tried to play it with restraint, because Karthik isn’t someone who reacts loudly. His pain is internal. I spent time understanding what losing her trust means to him, and that emotional weight helped me perform the moment with honesty."
Lastly, he shared one defining quality of Karthik that he instantly connected with? "His sincerity. Karthik may be flawed, but his intentions are always pure. He truly loves and cares for the people in his life. That sincerity—whether in relationships or responsibilities—was something I immediately connected with, and it helped me step into his mindset very naturally." He added.
