MUMBAI: We all love watching television, as at some point or the other, it proves to be an amazing stressbuster for most people.
While some love watching comedy and others bend towards reality shows, there many who are glued to watching daily soaps. Serials like Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Yeh Hai Mohabbatein, Kumkum Bhagya, and many more have the audience hooked to the daily dose of entertainment. Some of these have worked so well that the makers decide to relaunch them with a rebooted version.
Spin-offs have been a recent favourite among the masses. Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai announced its spin-off with Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyar Ke. Kundali Bhagya is a spin-off of Kumkum Bhagya. Ishqbaaaz too had a spin-off titled Dil Bole Oberoi.
Sanjivani, which had a massive following in the 2000s, launched Dill Mill Gayee. And these shows have been loved as much as their mother shows.
Swati Shinde, a housewife, said, 'I really enjoy them, especially because somewhere, it also has a connect with the original show. New characters on a similar or closer story is always a visual treat.'
However, Mansi Shah, who is a media professional, said, 'I feel the content need to be more experimental. Why would one want to watch a spin-off of any show when there is an option to watch something new.'
Jyoti Sharma, a graduate shared, 'I feel it is a good idea,as whatever is amiss in the show, we have the opportunity to watch it in the spin-off. I absolutely love watching them!'
