MUMBAI: Ranveer Singh, who is known for films like Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela, Gully Boy and Simmba, will be seen playing the role of Kapil Dev in the legendary cricketer’s biopic, '83. Both the actor and cricketer make sure to comment on each other’s special posts and their fans absolutely love their camaraderie.
Speaking about the same, Kapil Dev recently shared a throwback picture with Yuvraj's father, Yograj Singh. The picture showcases their younger version. He captioned the photo as, “A school game in 1975 with yograj singh, yuvraj's father. In kurukshetra.” Soon fans started commenting on the photo and Ranveer too couldn’t stop himself from posting a comment.

Speaking about '83, it is directed by Kabir Khan and also stars Deepika Padukone as Romi Dev. Bankrolled by Reliance Entertainment, the film also stars Harrdy Sandhu, Tahir Raj Bhasin, Saqib Saleem, Amrita Puri, Jiiva, Ammy Virk, Pankaj Tripathi, Sahil Khattar and Chirag Patil in pivotal roles. It is slated to release in 2020.
