MUMBAI: Celebrating 30 years in the entertainment industry, Emmy-Winning Producer Ektaa Kapoor has cemented her legacy as India’s longest-surviving producer, building a vast empire while deeply understanding her audience. Time and again, she has proven her ability to tap into the pulse of the masses, and her latest social media post is yet another example of this. Taking to social media, Ektaa shared a powerful message about body positivity, urging for the normalization of curves and much-needed representation for women. "Let's normalize. Curves!!!!" she declared in her video.

In the clip, Ektaa revealed an interesting conversation she had with an actress for an upcoming franchise, clarifying, "No, not Naagin." She shared that she encouraged the actress to gain weight in a healthy manner, emphasizing the importance of diverse body types in the entertainment industry.

Further explaining her stance, Ektaa said, "Because thoda sa toh representation chahiye. For women above 30 jinke metabolism pe hamla ho raha hai age ka, hormones ka. Uska representation toh chahiye." (Because there needs to be some representation for women over 30 whose metabolism is affected by age and hormones. That representation is much needed.)

Many women agreed with Ektaa and lauded her for this message. Actress Divyanka Tripathi wrote, "I am there na! Representing them all, always struggling between sizes but not giving up on workout or being myself!😁🙋‍♀️That's a wonderful message for everyone EK!❤️❤️❤️"

Rashami Desai writes “It’s a taboo in india. And ppl only talk about looks and weights and younger and older. But do not wanna talk about progress, personal and professional growth, and achievement. I totally agree with you 🙌 must to talk about this. 👏👏👏👏👏”

Known for revolutionizing Indian television with powerful female characters, Ektaa’s latest statement has sparked conversations about inclusivity in the entertainment industry. While Bollywood often glorifies unrealistic beauty standards, her advocacy for diverse body types is a refreshing step toward change.

With Ektaa hinting at a new franchise in the works, fans are eager to see how this vision translates on screen. Could this be the beginning of a new wave of representation in Indian entertainment? Only time will tell!
