Indira Krishnan is a very positive and graceful woman. She started her career as an air hostess but her love for performing arts eventually landed her in the world of Hindi television industry. Indira, currently seen in Afsar Bitiya, has been in the industry for quite some time now and over the years has learned how to manage her finances aptly. With a candid chat with Tellychakkar.com, Indira shared some of her money mantras. Excerpts:
How important is money for you? According to me money is equally important in life as oxygen. Both are necessary to survive.
Are you an impulsive buyer? Not really. But yes, when I get stressed, I go out for shopping but I don’t shop a lot at one time.
What are the investments you have made? I have done few investments like LIC policies…but then again, who knows what will happen tomorrow.
What is your most expensive purchase? My house.
What was your first salary? My first salary was Rs 9,000 as an air hostess. As an actor, my initial income was Rs 3-4 thousand.
How much money do you carry every day? I don’t carry much money but instead I prefer carrying my ATM cards.
Any advice for investors? I would always advice to save 50 percent of your earnings for your future investments and plan some fix deposits.
