Manish Singh on his short film Season's Greetings: I was happy when fans compared my direction with Majid Majidi

Manish Singh revealed that he has picked up this unusual and never-heard-before concept to make people aware of the sensitive issue of SAD.

MUMBAI: A variety of content is being produced in the digital world and viewers are enjoying every bit of it. Several short films with some really great concept have been made which simply leaves the audience stunned.

One such film is Season's Greetings which was made by popular director Manish Singh. The short film's concept revolves around the experiences of a man suffering from a condition called Seasonal Affective Disorder which is incidentally condensed as SAD.

It is a story of a man who is irritated with the summer and then he waits for the monsoon. But once the monsoon hits the city he starts complaining about the monsoon and gradually gets depressed. He now waits for the monsoon and the chain goes on over and over.

During an exclusive chat with TellyChakkar, Manish spoke about the challenges he faced while making the film and a lot more other things.

The film's concept is quite sensitive and a serious one but Manish revealed that he had tried to add a dash of humour and entertainment.

it took quite a lot of time for Manish to make this 14-minutes film. Also, interestingly, it was shot in a single room which was one challenging thing for the director.

Revealing about his experience of making the film, he said, it was sort of an experiment he was trying. There was just one room where he was shooting and waiting for different seasons. But it was a fun process.

Manish revealed that the process of making the film was exhausting but the final outcome was really great.

The director revealed how he used to think a lot while editing the film and which scenes he should take.

Singh revealed that he had a lot of pressure while making this film as his first short film had received a great response. Manish says that he felt that he was getting better with his every film.

Lastly, Manish said how he got a few compliments where fans told him that his direction had a touch of Majid Majidi's work. We all know Maijd is a well-known Iranian filmmaker and his works have always been appreciated by the viewers.

When Manish was asked if his work has Maijd's reflection, he said that not really but they do share the same taste. However, Manish took this compliment in a great way and was highly obliged for being compared with the ace filmmaker.

So, guys, if you haven't watched Season's Greetings, do watch it and tell us in the comments about your views on the film.
