MUMBAI: Abhishek Banerjee has gained immense popularity and accolades from the audience after putting up a scary act as Vishal Tyagi aka Hathoda Tyagi in Anushka Sharma’s Amazon Prime web series Paatal Lok. His menacing role and extraordinary performance made him an instant hit with the audience. However, for the people who are unaware of it, Abhishek even did some fantastic roles in the past in films like Stree, Dream Girl, Bala and some dark roles in Mirzapur, Kaali 2 and now in Paatal Lok. But did you know that before making it big today in the showbiz world, he was seen in a blink-and-miss appearance in Aamir Khan’s blockbuster 2006 film, Rang De Basanti?

Just recently, filmmaker Anurag Kashyap quoted a fan’s tweet who spotted Abhishek Banerjee and shared the screenshot on his Twitter handle. To which Kashyap praised him and said that from 2006 to 2020, the actor grew so much. @nowitsabhi'. In RDB, he was one of the students who auditioned for the role of Bhagat Singh in a scene from Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s 2006 hit film.

Upon seeing this tweet, Abhishek responded to him saying that the journey was quite amusing and enjoyed to the fullest in every role as he loved acting.
