MUMBAI: ZEE5 launched the teaser for its new web series, Godman, and it is full of suspense. It seems like the platform has pledged that it is not going to leave any stone unturned in bringing us content that will keep us on the edge of our seats.
This reveal comes right after the platform announced Chintu Ka Birthday, Sambhavtaha, Hum Purane Hoke Bhi Naye, and MamaKiki.
Directed by Babu Yogeshwaran, Godman appears to be a story which is full of all human emotions that revolve around a Godman who is next in line to be a leader of a godly empire but things take a turn when a fascinating offer from a close aide of the CM shows up starting a battle for everything human wishes for i.e. money, power, god, and lust.
This web series is a pure mixture of religion and politics and can be called an unholy power game.
The cast of Godman includes Daniel Balaji, Tanya Desai, Jeyaprakash, Sonia Agarwal. The web series is set to release on 12 June.

Post the release of the teaser which was trending online, Godman was met with backlash from various Hindu religious organisations for defaming and insulting their beliefs and deities.
Owing to this controversy, ZEE5 has taken down the teaser and official tweet announcing the web series. It remains to be seen if the release date is met or the show hits further roadblocks.
