Moonmoon who is playing Sampada in Kassauti Zindagi Kay has just re-started her career post her marriage and divorce. She recently made tabloid headlines with her alleged linkup with co-star Cezanne Khan. A well known face in advertising circles, Moonmoon, doesn't care much for this kind of publicity. In an exclusive interview with Prashant Golecha, she bares her heart and blasts Cezanne Khan using the right words and clarifying everything once and for all. The unique name Moonmoon is my pet name since childhood. My real name is Mohua. My father's elder brother kept the name Moonmoon because he loved actress Munmun Sen. My friends always used to tease me in college saying, "See Munmun Sen is coming." I entered the industry 11 years back when I was just sixteen. During Zee's Campus, I changed my spelling from Munmun to Moonmoon. I, me, myself I come across as an extrovert but deep inside I am an introvert. I make friends easily but I don't get close easily. I am an emotional fool at times but always appear to be a strong person. I am a die-hard romantic but always tend to be practical. I am chilled out, lazy and a typical Bong at times, particularly in food. My major break It was Shobna Desai's Babul Ki Duaye leti Ja on zee which used to come on Zee when Kyunki Saas…. Started. After that I did the role of Anuj Saxena's sister in Kkusum and left it when my role was not happening. Advertising gave me recognition It is advertising which gave me recognition and not the TV Serials I did. I started as the young horlicks mom in an ad made by Pradeep Saarkar. I have done around forty ads. My "Sunsilk Shampoo" ad was a big hit and is my claim to fame. My Airtel Ad which is on air is being liked a lot. My comeback with Kassauti... I got a call from Balaji for a different show but within four days I was finalized for Kassauti Zindagi Kay. I was introduced as "Sampada" the best friend of Anurag Basu played by Cezanne who somewhere loves him and may get married to him in future. On marriage and divorce Love marriage with Gautam Joglekar (Sai Paranjpe's son) who directed Narayani and Nana Patekar's film Pak Pak Pakak was the biggest blunder of my life. It lasted for three months only. We were like two captains trying to share one ship. I am still friends with him. Divorce was one of the best decisions of my life. I have moved on. On the link up with Cezanne Khan I met him on the sets for the first time and he is just a co-star. The alleged link up was just a on the set rumour because he has a history of link up's with all his co-stars and in the bargain even I had to bear the brunt. I have a clear funda of not dating my co-stars because I don't like carrying my personal baggage on the sets. Cezanne and I have stopped talking to each other. If at all I have a choice to choose the man I would like to get involved with, then I would surely choose someone like Abhishek Bachchan. Once and for all I want to clarify I was never dating Cezanne Khan. Give me a break please! About bonding with her female co-stars on the sets of Kassauti... I am quite close to Shweta as I have maximum number of scenes with her and we even share our make up van. I know Urvashi since college days. Whenever I talk to her on the sets we catch up on our college days. Shweta has a good sense of humour and we get along like a house on fire and I like her wonderful one-liners. On competition in the industry Among women actresses particularly the competition is cut throat. Two actresses can never be friends as there is undercurrent streak of jealousy all the time. On Balaji and Ekta Working in Balaji is like working at home. They have very good roduction values. Ekta is the only producer who makes actors into stars. I am content working with Balaji, as it is the most secure production house.
