Sushant Singh Rajput death: Bihar DGP to approach court over Vinay Tiwari's quarantine?

MUMBAI: Bihar DGP Gupteshwar Pandey has frequently expressed his disappointment with Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation quarantining Bihar Superintendent of Police (SP) Vinay Tiwari upon his arrival in Mumbai. SP Bihar was sent to quarantine after he reached Mumbai to oversee the probe into Sushant Singh Rajput’s suicide. He was sent to lead the Bihar Police team who had been in Mumbai to investigate the matter in depth.

Yesterday, during the hearing of Rhea Chakraborty’s plea, the Supreme Court questioned Mumbai Police for sending Vinay Tiwari into isolation. Seeking the release of his SP, DGP had sent a letter to BMC but it was rejected. Taking to Twitter, DGP Pandey tweeted that BMC officials rejected his letter and said he will be quarantined for 14 days, i.e., till August 15. Now reacting to the same, Bihar DGP interacted with the media and said they could take the matter to court.

While speaking to the media, Bihar DGP revealed that after the Supreme Court condemned their act of sending Bihar SP into quarantine, they again got in touch with BMC to free SP Tiwari and they again denied releasing him from the quarantine. DGP Pandey further added that they will wait for a day then decided what has to be done next. He said they could also move to court, that’s also an option. Have a look.
