Rajnikant fans have reasons to rejoice. The superstar’s 2007 hit Sivaji will soon be out in a 3D avatar. The film, directed by Shankar, is being converted into 3D at Chennai-based Prasad EFX.
The flick, produced by AVM, had Shirya playing the female lead while Suman played the antagonist. According to reports, producer M S Guhan is overseeing the 3D conversion of the film and the special effects house, which has also worked on the 3D conversion of some Hollywood films, had earlier shown their works to Guhan, after which the latter hit upon the idea to give Sivaji a 3D treatment.

Rajnikant fans have reasons to rejoice. The superstar’s 2007 hit Sivaji will soon be out in a 3D avatar. The film, directed by Shankar, is being converted into 3D at Chennai-based Prasad EFX.

Interestingly, the frame-by-frame 3D conversion process has taken more than a year to finish having begun in June, 2011. As many as 400 visual effects experts have worked on the film. The film is likely to release this September.
Interestingly, Rajnikant himself had been given a preview of some of the converted scenes. He too got blown over after seeing the result.
With his latest film Kochadaiyaan also slated to release later this
year on his birthday, December 12 to be precise, the year 2012 is set to be a double whammy for Rajnikant fans.
