"Without my mother I feel very weak emotionally, there is a huge vacuum " said Alka Yagnik on Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li'l Champs

MUMBAI : Zee TV’s popular singing reality show, Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li'l Champs has been winning over everyone’s heart courtesy the amazing performances by the wonderful contestants. After a week of the splendid Teacher's Day celebrations, this week the popular reality show is set to celebrate the unsung heroes that live and breathe amongst us, our mothers. The li’l champs will be seen performing to songs that are dedicated to all the mothers in the world because, after all, there is no particular day to celebrate mothers!

While each and every contestant’s performance struck a chord with the judges and the jury members, Ranita Banerjee’ s performance in particular left two judges overwhelmed and at a loss of words. As she sung in the most melodious voice to the song 'Tu Kitni Acchi Hai', judge Himesh Reshammiya broke into tears and so did Alka Yagnik remembering the fond memories with her late mother. However, in an attempt to cheer them up the makers played a rather endearing message from Alka's daughter and Himesh's mother that got the duo smiling amid the tears.

Talking about her mother judge Alka Yagnik mentioned, "I lost my mumma not even a year back and coming October will mark one year. Time is never a healer, as it passes it has become more painful to live. When my mom was there, I used to think I am the strongest and would rarely break. Now I feel like crying at the smallest possible thing. Suddenly, I feel very weak emotionally, there is a huge vacuum within me. When parents are not around, it feels like there is nobody over us or there is a roof over our head. All that enthusiasm is gone, and everything feels futile. However,  we have to move on and just like everybody does, I am trying too.”

Talking about her daughter's (Syesha) message she said, "My daughter is my world. My mother, my daughter and I always stayed together, it has always been a mad house with three generations of women. My mother took care of my daughter cause my career took off after she was born. My mother raised my daughter like her own, and infact I have always shared a sisterly bond with her. Now we both feel like we have lost our mother, this a sorrow we share. "

Himesh Reshammiya said, " I cry every time such songs are sung, I don't know how but I think this song connects with everyone. Mother is a feeling, she is the world and almost everything to us. Only god knows why we cry when we talk about our mothers, all I would like to say to my mom is that I love you, I need you. There lies a constant fear which I feel almost every day seeing you age. I love you."

During this 'Ma Special' episode, viewers will see the supremely talented Li'l Champs presenting some melodious performances to some of the most iconic songs. While contestant Zaid will light up the stage with an amazing performance to Chunar song, it will be contestants Tanishka and Saee who will get the viewers emotional with the performance to the song Dilbaro. All in all, the upcoming episode of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li’l Champs will have a lot of melodies, and surprises for the viewers.

So tune in to Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li'l Champs this Saturday and Sunday at 8 pm, only on Zee TV!
