Kaatelal & Sons actresses Megha Chakroborty and Jiya Shankar talks about INSECURITIES and CREATIVE DIFFERENCES

Here’s what Jiya and Megha has to say about insecurities about having two heroines in a show

MUMBAI: Dreams have no control; it knows no boundaries and it knows limits. Then why do we often define our dreams by the gender of the person?

Taking this thought forward and inspired by actual events, Sony SAB will bring the touching story of two sisters from Rohtak, Kaatelal & Sons, starting from November 16, 2020. The show features veteran actor Ashok Lokhande alongside the chirpy duo of Megha Chakraborty and Jiya Shankar. (Read here: Prashanth Goswami bags SAB TV’s Kaatelal & Sons)

Kaatelal & Sons is a true testament to Sony SAB's philosophy to produce positive and progressive stories and inspire the audience with compelling content that touches people hearts.

Kaatelal & Sons is an inspirational journey of sisters, Garima (Megha Chakraborty) and Susheela (Jiya Shankar), who believe 'Dreams know No Gender.'

In a virtual press conference held by the channel, TellyChakkar.com asked both the actresses about insecurities of having parallel leads. We asked the ladies if there are creative disagreements. Jiya said, “It’s a preconceived notion that if two actresses work together, they might not get along. But in our case, it’s totally different. The show is all about women empowerment and I would never want to pull down a woman to climb the ladder of success. Rather Megha and I share a great rapport and we give each other criticism on our scenes as well appreciate each other whenever required.”

Megha added, “A show gets success because of the entire team’s efforts and not one single person. It’s a collective effort and I can’t be selfish only thinking about myself. I will have to think about the entire team. Having said that, Jiya and my characters are completely different. Our look, our approach, everything is different which helps us be comfortable in our own skins.”

Well said Megha and Jiya!
