Karamveer Chaudhary: If we don’t shoot, how will we manage?
While shooting in the current scenario can be very scary, actor Karamveer Chaudhary says that it can’t be helped. The actor, who will be seen in a web series called MumBhai soon, says that he, as well as his co-actors, are making sure to follow all precautions while shooting. “In this situation, it is true that you have to keep working and at the same time keep yourself protected. Shooting has resumed and if you don’t work, how will you manage? It is important to protect yourself. Wear your mask, sanitise your hands, after coming home, make sure to wash your clothes and have a bath. In fact, we make sure to even wear our masks while rehearsing. We only remove them when the scene is to be shot. We are very scared that we don’t contract Covid-19. We are working with passion but there is a fear that we must be safe at all cost,” says the actor, who plays a Politian in the series.

“In MumBhai, I am playing a minister, who can go to any extent to get what he wants. He can cause harm to anyone, be it the police or any other minister or anyone. He can even get people murdered. He is so ambitious that he can do anything. I am playing this leading character who plays all the games and decides everything. Even though our story is based in the 90s, even today politicians mislead people to get what they want. This character is very negative and I have played it very well, I feel,” he says adding that the casting has been done in a fabulous way. “The cast is very good and the characters are fitting very well. The direction team is also fabulous. Directors are bringing out the best in the actors and everyone is working with a lot of passion and dedication,” adds the actor, who has been seen in films such as Dangal, Sultan and Panipat.

Karamveer says that the current situation in the country has taught everyone a lot. “Lockdown was such that we were all stuck in one room. All the things which were going on in full swing earlier were suddenly was shut. We learnt to live in a new way. We went away from our close ones. The situation was such that we had to sit at home all the time, with no way to work, and we felt like prisoners. People say this world is strange and no one knows what will happen next and is exactly how everything played out. There has never been a virus as such which makes people stay at home for this long,” he says.

He adds, “This has helped u a lot too. When you are patient and can motivate yourself in a tough time. You can believe that this time will go and a nice time will also come. This is what the lockdown has taught us. It has taught us to be independent. What’s surprising is that when people turned corona positive, all close ones also went away. They were scared of getting infected. This time has taught us that we need to make ourselves strong from within and concentrate on our health. Every person is doing that, they feel if we are healthy and alive, only then we can manage.”

The actor will be seen in the films Saat Kadam and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2.
