Rohit Bakshi who has been part of the television industry for quite some time now is looking forward to the release of his movie Dehraadun Diary. Rohit who celebrated his birthday on 4 October talks about his journey in television and much more in a conversation with Tellychakkar.com.
“My journey so far in the industry has been very good. I will soon be seen in the movie Dehraadun Diary. Talking about TV, I would really want to take up something now. I am waiting for a good role, as it does not make sense to act just for the sake of it. During our days, roles were made for us. But the trend has certainly changed now, but I have no issues,” states Rohit.
When asked about his favorite television shows, Rohit immediately replied, “I do watch Mahadev. I wish I was approached for the role of Mahadev as it is an amazing one. Mohit Raina is flawless as an actor. I also watch Punar Vivah every now and then; Gurmeet Choudhary is good. I also like to watch the dance reality shows.”
On him being a fitness freak, Rohit tells us, “Whenever I am free, I hit the gym regularly. I also maintain a healthy diet. Look is always important for an actor and we need to look good at all times.”
Talking about himself, Rohit states, “I am a shy person and I don’t like to be in the limelight without any reason. I want my work to speak.”
Being one of the senior actors in the industry, Rohit states, “There has to be scope today for experienced actors as we have created a benchmark. I am not saying that I am not getting roles, but I don’t want to pick up one only to get stereotyped. Let’s take the example of Ram Kapoor in Bade Achhe Lagte Hain, he is doing an amazing job.”
On his personal life, he avers, “I generally do not like to talk about my personal life. All I can say is that I have recently launched an outlet ‘Isayice’ along with Aashka Goradia. I make it a point to go there every day for an hour or so. I hope to make a comeback to television soon. If not an actor, I would have been a pilot.”
Rohit, we wish you all the very best for your movie!!
