MUMBAI: Udne Ki Aasha, produced by Rahul Kumar Tewary under Rolling Tales Production, recently achieved the milestone of 250 episodes. Kanwar Dhillon, who plays the lead role of Sachin Deshmukh, reflects on this journey and his character's impact on audiences.
Speaking about the show’s success, Kanwar says, “Completing 250 episodes feels surreal. It’s been a beautiful journey where the entire cast and crew have worked in harmony to connect with the audience. The narrative and the relatable story have been pivotal to its success. This milestone is a small step compared to what we aim to achieve.”
Sachin Deshmukh’s character has struck a chord with viewers, thanks to his honesty, simplicity, and relatability. “Sachin represents every middle-class individual who dares to dream big while staying grounded. He prioritizes his family and never shies away from hard work, even if it involves odd jobs. These qualities resonate with many households, and that connection is deeply rewarding,” Kanwar shares.
Reflecting on his journey with the show, Kanwar emphasizes the importance of giving life to Sachin as a unique character. “After playing Shiva in Pandya Store, it was important for me to create a distinct personality for Sachin. His flaws, sincerity, and upfront nature make him human. I’m grateful the audience has embraced him without comparisons.”
The actor is also full of praise for the show’s positive working environment. “The camaraderie on set is incredible. It feels like home, and we create memories every day. That positivity translates on screen, which I believe is key to our connection with viewers.”
Kanwar credits the entire team for Udne Ki Aasha’s continued success. “The show isn’t just about the leads—it’s a collective effort. Everyone, from writers to technicians, has contributed to making it special. Our focus has always been on creating a good product, and the audience’s love reaffirms that.”
As the show approaches its first anniversary of filming, Kanwar remains optimistic. “This milestone is just the beginning. I’m excited to see where this journey takes us next.”
