Hemant Chadha, who is known for portraying negative roles to the ‘T’, became popular as the positive Balram in Imagine’s Dwarkadheesh – Bhagwan Shree Krishn. And now the actor has bagged yet another positive role in Sony Entertainment Television’s upcoming show, Anamika which is a romantic thriller. The show produced by Vikas Seth’s Trishula Productions will have Hemant playing the sacrificing and supportive elder brother of the male lead, played by Mudit Nayar.
Hemant essays the role of Balraj, a guy who had once aspired to become a pilot. However, for the sake of the family he joins the family business and also supports his younger brother who aspires to become a boxer.
When contacted, Hemant Chadha confirmed the news and said, “Yes, I am part of Anamika cast. This is my second show with Vikas Seth after Amber Dhara (which was produced by Swastik Pictures where Vikas Seth and Siddharth Tewary were earlier partners). They needed a typical Punjabi for this character, and hence I was roped in.”
Anamika launches on Sony Entertainment Television from 26 November at the 8 pm slot. Anamika has Mudit Nayar, Annie Gill and Simran Kaur playing leads.
