MUMBAI: Many shows are returning to television with new seasons, and fans are excited to watch their favourite shows in a new avatar.
In the recent past, some shows have come out with season two with the same star cast, while others have a completely new team.
The recent show to join the season 2 brigade is Colors' popular show Sasural Simar Ka, which had Dipika Kakar and Dheeraj Dhoopar in lead roles. The channel recently organised a press conference to announce the launch and well, the one thing we came to know is that actress Dipika Kakar who was the lead actress of the first season never knew that Jayati Bhatia, who played the role of Mataji in the season was also retained. Within half an hour of Jayati leaving after giving her look test and Dipika coming in, she received a message from Dipika expressing how elated she is that Jayati will be a part of the season along with her.
In the recent promo of the show, Dipika tells the audiences about Simar coming back and how excited she is.
Fans are also excited to watch the show again and the cast will see Avinash Mukherjee joining the show. Popularly remembered as Jagya from Balika Vadhu, he will be seen in the lead role as Siddharth in Sasural Simar Ka 2. The actor has previously starred in popular shows, including, Shakti - Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki, Itna Karo Na Mujhe Pyaar and a few others. Remember ‘Mataji’ from season 1? Jayati Bhatia has been roped in Sasural Simar Ka 2 in a similar role. It is further known that the actress will be playing a much older woman and will be addressed as ‘Dadiji’ this time. Also entering the show in a titular role will be the lead girl of Kya Haal Mr Panchaal, Radhika Muthukumar.
