Shooting of Star Plus’ Diya Aur Baati Hum put on halt

Yes, the shooting of Star Plus’ Diya Aur Baati Hum m(Shashi Sumeet Mittal Productions Pvt Ltd)has been put on halt. Well… there is nothing to worry about for the show is doing great and it is not being pulled off air like Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon. As per a reliable source the leads of Diya Aur Baati Hum, Anas Rashid (Sooraj) and Deepika Singh (Sandhya) are currently in London shooting for the Star Parivaar Awards. And since every scene in the show has Anas and Rashid in the frame, the production house decided to give its team a break from 24 to 27 November 2012 pertaining to the lead jodi’s absence from the sets. However, things will roll back to normalcy tomorrow (28 November 2012). Keeping in mind the leave, the cast and crew had shot to maintain a bank of episodes. Producer Sumeet Mittal confirmed the same and said, “Yes, we knew that we wouldn’t be able to shoot without the leads. Hence, we prepared a bank and gave our team a small vacation.”
