MUMBAI: Kasatii Zindagii Kay fame Erica Fernandes is a television actress, who's known for her remarkable service in the Hindi entertainment industry. She is best known for her portrayal of Dr. Sonakshi Bose in Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi and Prerna Sharma in Kasautii Zindagii Kay.
Hailing from a Mumbai-based Mangalorean Catholic family, she completed her education in this city itself. She began her career through modelling and had taken part in beauty pageants like Pantaloons Femina Miss Maharashtra 2011, amongst others.
For the unversed, Erica embarked upon her showbiz journey by featuring in South Indian bilingual movies like Virattu/Dega, Ainthu Ainthu Ainthu, Ninnindale and others.
In 2016, Erica made her debut in the Hindi television industry with Sony TV's Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi. Her on-screen character Dr. Sonakshi Bose's on-screen chemistry with that of her co-star Shaheer Sheikh's character Dev was well lauded both by the critics and the audience at large.
After featuring in two consecutive seasons of Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi, Erica bagged the role of on-screen Prerna Sharma in Star Plus's show Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2 in 2018. Even in this show, her on-screen bonding and chemistry with her co-actor Parth Samthaan's reprised on-screen character of Anurag Basu were prominently noted by the viewers of the show.
For both these shows, she even won many prominent accolades like the Asian Viewers Television Awards for 'Female Actor Of The Year 2016'; the Lions Gold Awards and India News Awards for 'Best Onscreen Jodi 2017' (with Shaheer Sheikh); Indian Telly Awards for 'Best Jodi Popular 2019' (With Parth Samthaan); Gold Awards for 'Best Actor Female 2019' (Critics) and many others.

Apart from this, Erica is also an established YouTuber and vlogger, who uploads various travel and beauty-regime oriented videos on her channel.
She is also very active on social media platforms (especially Instagram), wherein she keeps entertaining and updating her fans regarding every single development in her personal and professional fronts, through extremely creative and attractive posts. Owing to the same, she enjoys a massive follower count on Instagram.

This year onwards, Erica has re-united with her Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi team to reprise her role as Dr Sonakshi once in the third instalment of the show and Shaheer is also back to portray Dev's role. Reportedly, the team has wrapped up their Siliguri shooting.
