MUMBAI: Sony Entertainment Television’s show Punyashlok Ahilyabai has garnered immense love and admiration from the viewers as it narrates the extra-ordinary life of Devi Ahilyabai Holkar. The current track of the show exhibits how young Ahilya strived to get an education at a time where women were not considered worthy enough to get an education.  Needless to say, Ahilya’s journey was faced with challenges and criticism. However, she never let any of this affect her will, motivation and aspiration to fulfil her dream.

Actress Snehalta Vasaikar who essays the pivotal role of ‘Gautamabai’ aka Ahilya’s mother-in-law of the show, shares that the show takes her back to her own sweet childhood days and how important it is to stay connected to one's roots.

Sharing more on the same, actress Snehalta Vasaikar said, “Childhood memories are very important in our lives. It makes us remember the best times of our lives. They shape our thinking and future. When one has good childhood memories, they grow up to be happy individuals. It’s all about reminiscing the little things - the smell of mom’s cooking as she made our favourite foods, the joy of running around with the neighbourhood kids, going for a Sunday treat of ice cream with your dad, having a fun-filled vacation with the cousins, our birthdays... these experiences are what create long-lasting memories remain in our hearts and minds. Of course, the bond that you share with your family, just the way Ahilya does and how respectful and considerate she is for her family. So, if we carry our childhood within us, we never get older.”
