MUMBAI: It was only recently that we reported that Amar Upadhyay underwent a surgery as he was injured on the sets of Molkki.
As he is slowly recovering, we asked him exclusively about his pairing with co-actress Priyal Mahajan. Amar shared, “Molkki is basically a fast-paced show. There are new characters that are going to enter and there will be major twists in the life of Virendra Pratap Singh. I have earlier also played a role in Saath Nibhaana Saathiya where I was paired opposite Tanya Sharma people loved the chemistry. In fact, it was one of the top three jodis of the channel. I was very confident that this time too the pair will be loved. The show is also different. Even before I knew that Priyal Mahajan was cast, I was confident that I will be comfortable. As actors, mentally we do not have to feel the age gap. If we feel the same the audience will start feeling it. As cameras don't lie they catch each and everything.”
We recently reported that Amar will be shooting for the show and will be taking rest only for a few days. Speaking exclusively to Tellychakkar.com, Amar had shared, “I will be in the story in a way that my character of Virendra Pratap Singh will be shown that he has injured his leg. Virendra Pratap Singh is a very important part of the story and he cannot be gone for long and the surgery was also very important and I was dealing with it for a long time now.”
