Nautanki Telefilms’ Madhubala Ek Ishq Ek Junoon on Colors has hit its best phase (4.0) with the recently released ratings from TAM. And now the production house, headed by Saurabh Tewari will be venturing into making movies.
We hear that noted Director Mukul Abhyankar and writer Rahil Qazi of Do Dooni Chaar fame have been roped in for the film.
Saurabh Tewari was earlier the Head of Programming – Fiction, Imagine TV and this is when he kick-started his venture into the business of Films and TV Production. Saurabh Tewari and Abhinav Shukla, BAG Films came together to produce Madhubala for Colors. After a slow and steady start, Madhubala has gained in numbers and is presently one of the Top 5 shows across GECs.
We tried contacting producer Saurabh Tewari but he remained unavailable for comment.
We wish Nautanki Telefilms all the very best for the new venture.
For the uninitiated, Saurabh was earlier part of Zee TV and Viacom 18, as part of the start-up team for the launch of Colors.
