Jhulan Goswami is a renowned name in the world of cricket. The cricketer has proved herself as sincere and perfect in her profession. She has made a name for herself in a profession that was considered a male-dominated sphere. She has given courage to many to dream by turning her own dream into reality. The Arjuna Award winner’s dedication towards her work has inspired many. And she has taken inspiration from Argentine footballer Diego Maradona.
In an interview, Jhulan Goswami had shared that a great chunk of her childhood was spent at her aunt's residence in Bengal who was a fan of football and Diego Maradona. Jhulan too fell in love with Diego Maradona’s sporting skills and she was inconsolable when Argentina lost the 1990 FIFA World Cup final to West Germany. Jhulan was an ardent Maradona fan and reportedly used to scribble the footballer’s name all over her school books.
