Are Narayani and Nana just good friends?

If the latest buzz in television circles is to be believed, Narayani Shastri, who dazzled as Piya Ka Ghar's Rimjhim and will now return as a beautician in Twinkle Beauty Parlour, has a new friend. She's always been tight lipped about her relationships, but did make a lot of public appearances with former beau Gaurav Chopra (who, incidentally, has been the more vocal and mileage seeking of the two). Now we hear (and no, it isn't Gaurav who's telling us this!) that Narayani has been regularly in touch with Nana Patekar, who was her co-star in last year's Marathi flick Pak Pak Pakak.

We have it on good authority that the two meet up pretty frequently, particularly after Gaurav flew the nest for a string of concerts in South Africa and then for a Hollywood flick. Narayani though has been careful not to make any public appearances with Nana. Knowing the girl though, it would be pointless asking for confirmation of the alliance, since we are sure all she will say is Na Na Na Na re........... Rajiv- Aashish dosti unlimited!! Rajiv Paul's one of the best friends name is Aashish Kaul to the extent that Rajev and Delnaazz have even stayed at aashish's home at Mira road. Rajiv character's name in Twinkle beauty parlour is Aashish. "The moment while I was being narrated my role and I was told my character's name is Aashish. I got extreme positive vibes about the show and I agreed instantly as Aashish Kaul is my best friend", says Rajeev. In an industry where friends break on the drop of hat Rajiv it's good to know of your feeling positive about a project just because your character's name is the same as of your best friend. Hope your friend from Naach Baliye with whom you kissed and made up is listening? Rishton Ki Dorr gets on with it! Sony's Rishton Ki Dorr, produced by the Adhikari brothers has been waiting in the sidelines for quite some time. The show which is based on a tellenova called Three sisters is scheduled to go on air on 15 May. The channel now has a very strong afternoon band, and it's going all out for its promotions. While Twinkle Beauty Parlour's starcast might be feeling the heat as the cast is missing from the hoardings, Anuj would be mighty happy with the promo on air. The Rishton Ki Dorr hoardings have a line which says "Meri behne mujse kuuch Kehna Chhahati Hai" which shows Anuj Saxena along with his three sisters. The hoarding which was shot on 3 May included Anuj Saxena and his sister. We are sure the other actors in the show like Urvashi Dholakia, Gaurav Chanana and company would be left wondering as to why they have been left out from the hoardings. We say, Rishte Nazuk hote hai Kahiin en Rishto Mein daraar paida na ho jaye. Kasautii dosti ki! Shweta Tiwari and Geetanjali Tikekar are friends... Well, this is interesting news because it's the Kasautii set that we are talking about! Known more for their cat fights than their performance on screen the duo seem to have created a record of sorts! Last week they went out to see The mistress of Spices together at a suburban multiplex. Whether they liked the film or not we don't know, but what's interesting is that most of the Kasautii actors don't see eye to eye, but these two women seem to be singing a different tune altogether. Anyways, with a certain Mr. Khan's absence from the sets these days (because there's some other track on air) there's sure to be less fireworks around! Bahus outshine each other Akshay Trittiya, celebrated on 30 April this year, is a day when traditional Indians make it a point to don new jewellery, as an auspicious symbol for the year ahead. And who better to plug the yellow metal to the masses than those symbols of true bharitya nari-dom - the TV bahus? This year, The World Gold Council and D'damas have snapped up Tulsi, sorry, Smriti Z Iraani. Desi brand Tanishq, not to be outdone, has pitched Paravti, aka Sakshi Tanwar into the ring. Both daughters in law of Star Plus have been regularly making their appearances on the telly across channels in TVCs, exhorting the viewer to buy gold and more gold this Akshay Trittiya. Both, needless to say, are dripping in gold. We are waiting to see the next quarter accounts of both Tanishq and D'damas. Will that show which bahu carries more weight?
