TellyChakkar has exclusively learnt that Dhrisha Kalyani will be a part of Azaad's next Meri Doli Mere Anagana.

We rang Dhrisha to know about her reaction on bagging the show Meri Doli Mere Angana. We asked the actress about her character, storyline, and a lot more.

Tell us about your character in the show.

I am playing the character of Sakshi, the youngest sibling of Janki. The character is absolutely positive and loving. She has an adorable bond with her sister. They are more like best friends who are there for each other through thick and thin.

What kind of a story can be expected from the show?

The show is surely going to be quite interesting, as the story gives a social message about gender equality. Talking about the backdrop of the show, it is in a village where the family gets lucky after the birth of their daughter Janki and all the success they receive with her existence. It indeed sends a strong message to stop gender discrimination in these rudimental societies and communities.

Which character has been your favourite in your career span?

My character in Mere Sai has been one of the closest to me. I was a part of the show for more than a year and I have not only been devotional since then but also still think I need to learn more about our mythological stories. I would call this show and character my favourite from my career span.

What kind of characters would you like to play apart from the present one and which genre interests you?

Talking about characters, I would love to do a fictitious role with all the fantasies. If I ever get a chance to play the lead, I wish to be a pivotal part of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's glorious films. My career has just begun and I am hoping to experiment more with my work and unveil my versatility in front of the audience,

How do you manage to juggle between studies and shoot?

My college and teachers have been extremely supportive of my shoot schedules. They especially record the lectures and send them to me. My friends make sure I get all the notes on time. I have been fortunate in studies and score good marks every time. As I shall complete my twelfth grade in the coming year, I am planning to pursue studies in the profession of direction. We all know many actors who are impeccable directors too.

If you weren't an actor, what profession would you pursue?

If not an actor, I would surely concentrate more on my studies and plan on taking up medicine and becoming a doctor. I also adore travelling and I aim to travel around the world by the time I reach my thirties. This surely gives me an opportunity to turn into a travel vlogger as well.

Well, we can't wait to meet Sakshi on screen soon. Meri Doli Mere Angana shall air on Azaad as well as MX Player.

For more exciting updates, stay tuned to TellyChakkar.
