EXCLUSIVE! 'I would love to explore DESI Characters on OTT' Imlie's Rajshri Rani OPENS UP on Characters that interest her, venturing in OTT and more

With Daily soaps, it is quite difficult to take time out from the set schedule for something else. But I have been wanting to do something on OTT as well, I would love to see myself in a completely different character and workspace that I haven't experienced before.

MUMBAI: Imlie has been on the top stalls since its initial days, well now the major twist is all set to be unveiled with Fahmaan Khan's entry in the show as Aryan Singh Rathod. Rajshri Rani as his sister and Neetu Pandey as his relative in the show, this new family will bring a completely new angle to Imli's life.

We got in touch with the beauteous Rajshri Rani and asked her about characters she would like to do and more, check out what she had to reveal.

What kind of characters intrigue you?

I don't really put thought into selecting characters, it is usually what makes me feel that is challenging and even make me realise that it is worth my time then I would surely do that character.

Are you planning on venturing out in OTT?

Yes, I have been with Daily soaps for a while, I have been wanting to do something with OTT as well. With Daily soaps, it is quite difficult to take time out from the set schedule for something else. But I have been wanting to do something on OTT as well, I would love to see myself in a completely different character and workspace that I haven't experienced before.

There are soo many types of content on OTT, what would you choose?

I wouldn't do BOLD for sure, as I wouldn't be comfortable in doing such a character. Apart from that, whenever I see shows I feel I could do this. I have a great hold on Awadhi so I feel shows like Mirzapur, would be a great opportunity to let me explore my language and do some intriguing desi roles.

Any such character that makes you think you would do it better?

Well, nothing like that. As every actor has their own charm on screen. When it comes to the language, it reminds me of home. There is this series Gullak, it reminded me of my home so I want to do such a series that makes me feel nostalgic and help me explore more from my roots itself.
