The actor then went on to take up his next big challenge in terms of character, with Life OK and Triangle Films Company’s <em>Devon Ke Dev… Mahadev</em>.
However, not many know that the actor was initially apprehensive of playing a negative character after playing a teacher on-screen. But to his surprise, Manish has literally doubled up his fan base with this role.

Talking about it, Manish told Tellychakkar.com, “I was not sure if I would be convincing enough as Raavan. But I am amazed to see the positive response from 97 percent of people while the rest of them are surprised to see Raavan in a new avatar. They wonder if Raavan was ever positive.”
When asked if he is enjoying the character of Raavan and he said, “It is a beautiful role and I love every bit of it. Though the make-up does get a bit tiring at times with the addition of hair and moustache, this is an interesting phase in my career.”
