MUMBAI: Makers of ‘Choti Sarrdaarni have approached Amandeep Sidhu and Salman Shaikh to play the lead roles in the show. Earlier it was reported that Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia and Mahir Pandhi, who play Seher and Rajveer in Choti Sarrdaarni are on their way out. Nimrit has been forced to quit the show due to health issues. Mahir, too, will be exiting the show along with her.
While Amandeep was last seen as the female lead in Teri Meri Ikk Jindri, which wrapped up in November last year after a run of 11 months, Salman has featured in shows like Sasural Simar Ka 2 and Maddam Sir – Kuch Baat hai Kyunki Jazbaat Hai.
A source associated with the show said, “While Amandeep is almost finalised, talks with Salman have reached an advanced stage. The two are likely to be confirmed soon. Once everything has fallen into place, the new lead couple will commence the shoot for the show in a week’s time.”
