MUMBAI: Bhavya Gandhi is well-known for his character portrayal of Tappu in Sony SAB’s Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. After being associated with the show for 8 long years, the actor walked out of it in order to pursue a full-fledged career in movies.
He made his film debut in 2017 with Pappa Tamne Nahi Samjaay and has done films like Bau Na Vichar and Baap Kamaal Dikro Dhamaal. He also appeared in Shaadi Ke Siyape.
TellyChakkar got in touch with Bhavya and asked what's keeping him busy these days.
“I'm working on a Gujarati film but can't reveal much about it. I'm learning to sculpt, and I am playing music. I'm also learning more about filmmaking. I'm hosting a show for the Gujarat Government, which will be posted on the minister's account.”
Have you taken a break from television?
“I'm always open to television or any other platform. I'm not limited to any particular zone. Good work is what I'm looking for right now.”
What kind of roles do you want to play next?
“I want to feature in a mythological show, for which I'm ready to leave everything. I will give my 100 percent to it. Lord Krishna and Shivaji Maharaj are two roles that I'm desperate to play.”
You lost your father sometime back. How did you cope up with it?
“I just know that he's always around and his blessings are always with me. I'm here because of him.”
The actor is set to next appear in the Gujarati film Kehvatlal Parivar and the Hindi film Doctor Doctor.
Good luck, Bhavya!
